Graham 9 months

Our sweet boy is growing faster and faster it seems like. Graham turned 9 months old today but is already wearing size 12 months. So much for buying clothes ahead of time. He completely skipped all his 9 month old stuff. Last week he got a virus that caused him to have blisters in his throat which then caused him to have a high fever for a few days. After the second day of fever and it got up to 103.5 I took him to the doctor. I figured there was nothing we could do for him but it made me feel better having his doctor look at him. All that being said we weighed him and he is 21 pounds!! Big boy!

Here are just a few fun facts-
  • His favorite toy is the girls play kitchen. He plays in it way more than the girls.
  • He loves being anywhere the big kids are. He tracks their voices all around the house and searches for them until he finds them.
  • He doesn't sit still for too long.
  • Takes two good naps per day and sleeps through the night (except when he had the fever and was waking up once or twice a night).
  • Still has not met a food he doesn't like. But prefers real food over baby food.
  • When Daddy comes through the door he crawls at lighten speed to him. So sweet!
  • No longer giggles when being told NO (I knew it was too good to be true).
  • Loves the water and doesn't mind get his face completely wet.
  • Walks along the couch or table with no problem at all. I don't think it will be too much longer before he walks :(
  • Still the sweetest baby you have ever seen!

Flying Kites

Nate had been wanting to fly kites with the girls for a very long time. Due to his schedule and lack of wind on his days off this has been a long time coming. Last weekend there still was not a lot of no wind but we thought it was worth a try. Sydney and Savannah LOVED it. I never thought two $1.97 kites and a non-windy day would bring so much laughter.

Soccer Pool Party

On Sunday we met with our soccer family to celebrate the end of the year. We sure our going to miss these girls.

Mercedes- 5th grade awards

Today Bluff Park Elementary held their awards banquet for the 5th graders. It was such an exciting time for all of the kids. Mercedes racked up with lots of awards but the most special one was when she was honored for writing as essay on "Why I'm Proud to Pledge the American Flag". After the awards I wanted to take a picture of Mercedes with her homeroom teacher, Mrs. Kennemer (photo above) which was a mistake because I had not cried all morning. Mrs. Kennemer spoke so highly of Mercedes and said, "There is nothing this young lady can not do" and we 110% believe that too.
We love you Mercedes and are so proud of you.

Last Day at St. Marks

Can you believe that they will be in preschool next year??

Graham had to get his sweet face in front of the camera.

Known at St. Marks as "the sweet twins that we could never quite tell apart".

Savannah ready for her last day.

Sydney ready for her last day.

"Mom can we make just one silly face?"

"and one mad face?"

"oh and one shocked face?"

"wait, and a surprised face?"

This is what they did when I told them their photo shoot was over...sassy face!

I love how Savannah is looking at Graham. Love in her eyes.

Grandma and sweet Graham
I am a very emotional person that gets easily attached and doesn't like change, so with all this moving stuff you can only imagine how my emotions have kicked it up a notch. This week has been extra hard with the ending of school for Sydney and Savannah. They came home on Tuesday with ALL of their art work, a cute personalized photo album of themselves, and a sweet card from their teacher. Emotional wreck that day. Then as I was dropping them off today and one of the ladies was saying good-bye to me and wishing us all the best next year, she ended with..."Thank you so much for sharing your girls with us." I'm sure she thinks I am a train wreck because I started bawling right there in car pool. We have just LOVED St. Marks and will miss them all dearly.
